PRODUCTS

Where do your raw products come from?

All GREAT DOG treats, chew and bones are sourced in the United States. We try to source all our products as close as our home base in Minnesota as possible.

Where are your products made?

All GREAT DOG treats, chews and bones are made in the US. We slow roast our products in human grade, inspected facilities.

Why are GREAT DOG products preservative free?

We don't add preservatives or other additives to our products because they have been found to be deleterious to dogs. Most preservatives are added to products to lengthen the shelf life of products. We work hard to create a product that is highly appealing to dogs which means that fat tailings and some of the moisture has been left in the product. This does shortens the shelf life of product as well as increases the chance that a product can go bad. We believe the taste and health benefits outweigh these potential risks.

Why do all your products say "Always Supervise Feeding?"

As we are all aware, small pieces can become a choking hazard. As a result, we recommend our customers feed pieces appropriate for their dog's size, age, health state and eating behavior.

ORDERING

Will GREAT DOG, on request, send samples of treats and chews prior to ordering?

No. We are not able to send samples of our products due to the time required to process these requests as well as the associated product and shipping costs.

Can I cancel my order?

We completely get it. We change our minds too! Unfortunately, once an order is placed, there is no way for customers to cancel the order through our store. We encourage customers to contact us via customer service if you wish to cancel or alter an order. While there is no guarantee that we will be able to accommodate your request prior to your order being shipped, we will do our very best to assist you as quickly as we can.

Do you offer a 'subscribe and save' feature?

Currently, we do not. Please contact us if you are interested in this feature. We are happy to explore adding this option if there is sufficient customer interest.

How long does it take to fulfill an order once it's placed?

Typically, all orders are fulfilled within the 1-2 days of ordering. USPS holidays, staff vacations, and/or especially busy periods may occasionally impact fulfillment time.

What if I want to speak to someone?

We want to speak to you too! Contact us with any questions, concerns, or feedback. We will get back to you as soon as possible, generally within 24 hours. Please note that inquiries sent on
Fridays may not receive a reply until the following Monday.

SHIPPING

What is GREAT DOG's shipping location?

GREAT DOG CO.'s warehouse is
located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Typically, all orders are processed
and shipped from our warehouse within 24-48 hours. Orders are shipped Monday-Friday and take between 2-4 days, on average, to reach our customers.  For those living outside the contiguous United States, the average time to receive your order will generally take longer than 4 days.

What are GREAT DOG CO's shipping rates?

We currently offer two shipping rates in the United States: Flat
rate shipping of $5.95 for all orders under $75.00 and free shipping for
all orders exceeding $75.00.

What shipping carriers does GREAT DOG CO. use?

We use USPS (Priority Mail, Ground Advantage) and UPS Ground. The choice of shipping carriers is made based on order weight, shipping time and shipping costs.

Will GREAT DOG refund me if my order is damaged, lost or stolen after being shipped?

If your order is damaged, lost or stolen during the shipping process, it is the responsibility of the carrier/postal/delivery service. Once delivered, we cannot assume responsibility for damaged or stolen packages. However, we will work with you to get as much information as possible from the postal service/UPS or other carrier, assist you in filing a damage claim or inquire about delivery issues. In the 30+ years we've been in business, lost packages are virtually always recovered.

Can GREAT DOG CO. ship to more than one address

At the moment we ship to only one address per order. 

What if I fail to update my default shipping address?

Orders are shipped to the
address customers list as their shipping address. The shipping address is equivalent to customers' default address. This is an automated process so it's up to you to ensure the ship to address is correct. GREAT DOG CO. is not responsible for orders shipped to an incorrect address.

What if I enter my address incorrectly?

The cost of outbound shipping for packages shipped to a non-existent
address will be deducted from the buyer’s refund.  We do not assume
responsibility for shipping addresses entered incorrectly.

Does GREAT DOG CO. ship outside the United States?

Due to shipping costs and complex customs requirements, we do not ship GREAT DOG products outside the United States at this time.

RETURNS and EXCHANGES

How do I return an item?

If you are unhappy for any reason with your purchase from GREAT DOG CO., please contact us within 30 days of package delivery. GREAT DOG CO. wants you to be completely satisfied with your purchase and would like an opportunity to resolve any problems you may experience

What is GREAT DOG CO.'s return policy?

A return must be requested within 30 days of the ship date, after which merchandise must be shipped back within 15 days. Merchandise must be returned in its original packaging. GREAT DOG CO. does not issue refunds for any opened product unless the product is determined to be defective.

What if I want to return an item I received as a gift?

Once the returned item is received, a credit will be issued to you in the form of a code you can use for another purchase.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he/she will be informed of your return.

I'm expecting a refund. How long does it take?

Refunds are issued after we have received and inspected your returned item. Please allow 6-10 business days for us to receive your return. Buyers are responsible for paying all return shipping charges except in the case of a defective item and/or receipt of the incorrect item. For items purchased with free shipping we will deduct our original shipping costs from your refunded amount.

What if I receive damaged or defective product?

We will replace any items deemed defective or damaged (other than by a shipping carrier).

Depending on where you live, the time it will take for any exchanged product to reach you, varies. Please contact us if you wish to exchange or have questions about delivery.

What if I return an item but it isn't received by GREAT DOG CO?

If you are shipping an item(s) over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee receipt of your returned item(s).
